Starting an apprenticeship brings new tasks, unfamiliar routines and different personalities together. An apprentice event offers a relaxed, accessible setting where participants can get to know each other and tackle their first tasks as a group.
Courses with tasks to solve together, team challenges, rallies or creative building tasks can suit different aims and activity levels. If you’d like a more structured focus on teamwork, you’ll find further suitable options in our team-building events.
To choose the right activity, we take into account the stage of training, age, group size, place, timeframe and the kind of task you have in mind. Any special requirements – such as participants under 18 or different levels of physical ability – should be mentioned early on.
These are the six activities teams choose most often at teamio for their apprentices. They differ in whether the group builds, solves puzzles, walks through the city or competes in a tournament.
from €49When you want apprentices to come together in assigned teams: everyone starts at the same time at different stations, and you choose three challenges yourself, such as lawn curling or XXL Jenga. No previous experience needed.

from €59For a group that wants variety: five challenges from a pool of modules, played in rotating teams, so apprentices keep meeting new team-mates. No previous experience needed; indoors and outdoors are both possible.

from €59Wheelbarrow course, hay bale run, milking contest and horseshoe throwing: teams collect points in proper farmyard challenges. The team with the most points takes the golden pitchfork home.
from €49Sandcastle building, a water relay and coconut boules: in small groups you go barefoot from station to station, to a soundtrack of summer hits. We bring the sun cream – safety first!
from €69Build your own cajóns from high-quality kits, then play rhythms in several parts as a team, guided by drum coaches. You can take your box drum home.
from €59Golf without a golf course: clubs in hand, you head over hill and dale, with team tasks such as the golf ball pipeline and ladder golf waiting along the way. In the end, the best team handicap wins.
from €39All the atmosphere of the pub, darts included: teams play 301 through a preliminary round and a knockout stage for the title of company darts champion, while a cheeky hosting team comments on every throw.
from €55Fly drones, send robotic balls racing each other or steer racing cars using an iPad: in this tournament, teams compete using VR, robotics and AI. You choose the stations.
from €35Every team builds its own section of a giant chain reaction out of dominoes, LEGO and Kapla planks. After the countdown, down it all goes – in the meeting room, the conference hotel or the office.
from €79Design a flag, christen your boat, start paddling: the teams race each other in dragon boats while a drummer sets the beat. The winning team gets Crémant, and the flags go on to decorate the canteen.
from €49Everyone gets a real djembe, and our drum coaches lead you step by step from a body percussion warm-up to the big final arrangement. Nobody needs any musical experience.
from €49Sherwood Forest by torchlight: after a short briefing from our trainers, even beginners pick up a longbow and take on the other teams.

from €49Your own table football championship: every team founds a club, name and all, then battles through the group stage and knockout rounds while commentators guide you through the tournament like a Saturday-night football show.

from €49Each artists’ collective paints its own canvas around your theme. Then the canvases come together as one large artwork for your company – with a bird’s-eye drone photo, if conditions allow.
from €49Write the script, pick costumes and false beards, shoot, edit: every film crew makes its own short film with an iPad and a collection of props. At the end, all the films are screened at your very own film festival, nominations included.
from €35As a new Europol task force, the teams hunt a master thief: armed with an agent’s case, a puzzle box and a postcard under UV light, they solve puzzles against the clock – and must tread carefully, because their adversary is hot on their heels.
from €59A large CRT television with an N64, a Carrera track and remote-controlled Mario Karts: across three challenges, teams go head to head in races that mix retro nostalgia with full-throttle action. The winning team gets to pop the corks.
from €39Quizmaster, wireless buzzers and company-specific questions: teams guess their way through short rounds and funny video challenges. Points are paid out in sweets, but anyone who nibbles spoils their appetite for victory.
from €39A delicate touch and clever tactics: the teams take turns sliding their curling stones towards the target circles, on grass, asphalt or office carpet. One well-placed stone knocks the opposing stones out of the lane.
from €129Sightseeing on Segways: after a safety briefing and a test ride, you set off through town in your helmet, with puzzles, a cone course and tasks you have to dismount for along the way. At the finish, everyone gets a Segway diploma.
from €59Spanners first, then speed: every team builds its soapbox car from a kit, gives it a look all its own and shows it off to see how it scores on the applause meter. Then it’s down the ramp for qualifying and a relay race, and a bubbly shower waits at the end.
from €49In the “Tower of Power”, a team builds a tower using a special crane rig, and the other tasks only work out when everyone pulls together. Every group has its own trainer and plans its strategy before trying it out.
from €49Two disciplines, one tournament: in disc golf the metal baskets have to be hit with as few throws as possible, while on the e-scooter course every second counts. Helmets and protective pads are compulsory.

Good options include a Team-Parcours, rallies, creative building tasks, challenges involving dexterity or group quizzes. The choice depends on the stage of training, group size and the focus you want.
Typical occasions include the start of an apprenticeship, a get-to-know-you day, a meet-up for an apprentice intake or a team day during the apprenticeship. Choose a time that suits what you want to achieve.
It can make a shared start easier, give people something to talk about and let them experience working together first-hand. What no single event can honestly guarantee, though, is lasting development or loyalty to the company.
There are activities for individual apprentice groups and larger intakes. Which one suits you depends on the task, how the activity stations are arranged, the space available and the level of support you want.
Depending on the activity, an event can range from a brief session to a team day lasting several hours. We also allow time for the briefing, group changes, breaks and any debrief.
For suitable activities, individual questions or tasks can be adapted to the company and the occasion. The scope and what’s feasible are clarified beforehand.
Please give us the ages and any special organisational requirements early on. The company clarifies the necessary consents and supervision responsibilities; teamio plans the event requirements and how it will run accordingly.
For outdoor activities, arrangements for the weather are agreed beforehand. Depending on the event, it may be possible to adapt the activity or use a suitable indoor alternative.
