Lawn curling: curling fun all year round

Everyone knows curling as a discipline at the Winter Olympics or from zapping between sports channels at home. The sport is particularly well-known for two things: it is played on ice, and brooms are used. Due to its complex tactical possibilities, curling is often referred to as "chess on ice".

We have adapted this sophisticated basic concept and made the necessary changes to make this fascinating winter sport accessible in the warmer half of the year. Our version, grass curling, requires neither an ice surface nor brooms. It requires precision, teamwork, a little strength and a lot of sensitivity. There are no local limits to the fun of curling together - whether on asphalt, grass or office carpeting: lawn curling always works.

Get your colleagues off the track and your curls to the house - that's what the large target circle area is called. An entertaining tournament mode ensures action and excitement for the entire field of participants. To ensure that the waiting times between the exciting games are also fun, we integrate alternative challenges such as our Kubb Challenge or Laddergolf into every lawn curling tournament. This guarantees an entertaining and varied team event.

Course of the event: Turf curling

After the field of participants has been divided into different teams according to a fair random principle, you and your colleagues will be instructed in the rules and technical subtleties of the game. Our guides will of course be on hand to help you with any difficulties you may encounter.
The aim of the game is to collect as many points as possible in two so-called "ends". Each "end" consists of a back and forth round with four throws per team. The teams take it in turns to throw or push their curls from the marked throwing area towards the target marker at the other end of the lane - the so-called house. Three circles form the ascending scoring fields.
In the lawn curling tournament, the excitement lasts until the last throw of the final second round. A cleverly placed curl can push all of the opponent's balls out of the lane and land in the golden center - and only the curls that are still in the defined playing area at the end of the round are scored.
After all the games in the entertaining team tournament have been played, we compare results and calculate the overall score. Shortly afterwards comes the moment that all the teams have been waiting for: Who has won the most duels? Who has demonstrated precision, teamwork and skill? We'll find out at the final award ceremony!

Hunting for points together - anywhere and at any time
teamio turf curling is played on special twelve by two meter turf carpets. As soon as the rink is rolled out on your company's terrace, it will undoubtedly invite you to chase points together. Thanks to the special surface, our curling variant can be played almost anywhere - regardless of the time of year. Indoor curling is now also possible.
Extra challenges for additional fun
For larger groups or individual requests, additional curling lanes or additional team challenges such as our ladder golf, cornhole or kubb challenge can easily be integrated. This makes even the short waiting time between games a fun experience.
