Online team events: strengthening team spirit virtually

Three digital team events for your 2020 Christmas party

Christmas is fast approaching and the Christmas party is still a variable in the company calendar. It is uncertain whether it can take place at all, as the topic of social distancing is still on everyone's lips against the backdrop of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. In addition to our infection-protected live events, we have developed exciting virtual team events for the end of the year that will strengthen team spirit. After all, the shared experience is more important than ever in times of working from home. The requirements for a virtual Christmas party with work colleagues are simple: a laptop with an integrated camera and internet access is usually enough. The only prerequisite for the digital team event is a suitable date for the entire team.

Below we present three digital team events for the virtual Christmas party 2020.

Online quiz show as a team event

"Our digital quiz show is real fun!" says Gerhard Jansgers, Key Account Manager, and promises a lot of entertainment. Even if this reaches the participants decentrally. Divided into small teams, the aim of the online event format is to master very different challenges "together". In addition to the classic question rounds, the groups can also expect funny video clips and crazy image compositions. Of course, a real team event should not neglect the interaction of the players, which is why the pantomime round is always part of the game. Our digital quiz show inspires everyone with its variety of challenges - Günther Jauch can easily pack his bags...

teamio 3 / 5 Fight - teamio

As part of our virtual live escape game, you will solve a real online thriller. For the participants working from home, the topic of functioning remote communication is a key factor for joint success. In this digital team event, small groups work together as teams of investigators and solve completely different challenges. The exciting plot demands a high level of creativity, deductive reasoning and tactical skill from the participants - just like in a real escape room. In addition to the video conferencing software (e.g. Zoom or Microsoft Teams), we also use a special gaming app that the participants temporarily install on another mobile device (e.g. smartphone or tablet). This allows us to offer a genuine multi-sensory experience - in the form of an online team event. So far, all groups have mastered the virtual live escape game and solved the case - can your company do the same?

Baking with colleagues at the company Christmas party

Our Christmas bakery online event is also a great idea for this year's Christmas party in the home office. The hybrid format combines the digital experience with a physical activity - all in the company of colleagues. We send out our fragrant Christmas boxes to all participants in the run-up to the virtual team event. In addition to fresh gingerbread, they contain the ingredients for icing, food coloring and other Christmas treats. As part of the digital team event, all participants build their own gingerbread house. Of course, individual decorations are a must. Finally, everyone awaits the grand finale: the presentation of the delicious works of art! Live points will be awarded for the most creative gingerbread house. And then it's finally time to eat...

Our online team events at Christmas time can of course be enhanced: How about a small gift basket or package, for example. Mulled wine from the Palatinate, Dresden Christmas stollen and other treats will bring joy to the whole family of the recipient. Alternatively, a self-assembled cooking box with a cooking apron bearing your company logo is also a great idea. Make it possible to enjoy a Christmas dinner together despite COVID-19.
