We couldn't help but take part in the Essen company run again this year!
Teamio Event GmbH was able to demonstrate its own team spirit at the 8th Essen company run. The event agency not only promotes team spirit among its customers with exclusive team-building events, but also knows how to motivate its own employees.
The Essen company run is a great spectacle every year. Jogging together with colleagues not only boosts physical fitness, but also the internal working atmosphere. Word seems to have gotten around, as this year's event broke all records: 13,000 participants from over 500 companies registered within a week. Naturally, Teamio Event GmbH, a provider of team building and team events based in Essen city center, could not miss out. "The company run is a shared experience and strengthens team awareness - away from the otherwise stressful working day," explained Managing Director Amit Lal.
12 employees took part in the Essen company run
The team was highly motivated: even before the event, they met once a week to run at Lake Baldeney. "We are a young, dynamic and sporty team. It's simply fun to prepare together," said a delighted Gerhard Jansgers. The condition improved - the anticipation increased... Those who wanted to recharge their batteries before the five-kilometre run could help themselves to a healthy buffet: Delicious smoothies and fresh fruit were to provide the extra portion of energy. "Of course, we also do everything we can to motivate our employees," smiled Johannes Dietrich as he handed out jerseys specially made for the company run.
After a short warm-up with light stretching exercises, the 12-strong team made their way to the starting point at the Philharmonie, warmed up and in a good mood. The great atmosphere was very impressive and the support of the audience was an additional motivation for the team. When the signal for the last starting wave sounded at 7.45 p.m., around 4,000 runners set off. They set off from the Philharmonie, along Rüttenscheider Straße to the Tummelwiese in Grugapark. Spectators and bands along the route cheered the runners on and provided refreshments at drinks stations.
At the finish line, all participants were warmly greeted by those who had already made it. After all, this day was not about winning, but about the shared experience and team spirit within the company. With this motto in mind, the teamio team crossed the finish line together. "It was more strenuous than expected in the warm weather, but it was a lot of fun," was the unanimous consensus. Johannes Dietrich rounded off the evening with his colleagues at the big after-show party in Grugapark - with a participant medal around his neck, a cool beer in his hand and a big smile on his face: "The atmosphere in our team was great and everyone was very enthusiastic," he said happily. "We'll definitely be back next time."
