You’ve already unpacked the tasting package with exclusive gins bottled just for you, matching tonic water and selected botanicals, and off we go on a tasting journey through the world of gin – in search of the gin of your dreams.

How Online Gin Tasting works
The British prized bitter tonic water as a preventive health tonic against malaria in India – and, for the sake of taste, improved it with gin. Today the gin and tonic has gained a cult following worldwide, not least because the highball (a spirit plus a fizzy mixer) is easy to mix at your own home bar. Our virtual corporate event whisks you off into the exciting world of gin – comfortably and safely from home.
We send out our tasting packages in advance. Besides five selected premium gins, they contain different tonic waters, carefully selected botanicals (natural flavourings in the form of berries, fruit, herbs or roots), a nosing glass and a stainless steel bar spoon. We bottle the gins for you in lovely glass bottles – with care and plenty of love, so that nothing stands in the way of your online gin tasting.
Then, at last, we welcome you – via Zoom or MS Teams – to your very own gin tasting with your colleagues. Our studio is, and we say this with pride, one of the best bars in Essen (NRW). We start with the history of gin, which begins as early as the 17th century, then move on to the invention of the gin and tonic during the British-Indian War, the Gin Craze, and how gin found its way into the world’s biggest bars.
Now our gin tasting finally lives up to its name: time to taste! First, just your nose – have a sniff. Then with a slurp, keeping the gin in your mouth and letting it move slowly across your palate – and then we take a moment together to savour the overall impression. Did you pick up the delicate notes of almond and orange too? Together we talk through the different impressions and carry on tasting; after all, there are four more gins waiting to be discovered...
And of course, we give the gin and tonic its fair share of attention too – and our bartenders share real pro tips, so that your gin and tonic at home tastes just like it does in the bar. So, cheers!
Good to know: of course we run our online gin tasting in both German and English, so English-speaking hosts abroad can join the virtual team event too. We also offer alcohol-free tasting packages, which we send out as part of the event to participants who don’t want to drink alcohol, so they can still take part in the tasting.

The tasting packages contain 5 selected gins, 2 tonic waters, matching botanicals, an untreated organic lemon, a bar spoon and a tasting glass.
When are the packages sent to participants?
We send the tasting packages one week before the online gin tasting via DHL. Express shipping is also possible for short-notice bookings.
Can colleagues abroad join the online gin tasting too?
Yes. We can send our tasting packages to participants across Europe.
Why do you stream this event from a real bar and not from your studios?
We produce our online gin tasting live from a bar, with professional bartenders. So even with everyone apart, colleagues working from home still get to feel the bar’s distinctive atmosphere at this online team event.
Can the hosts and bartenders speak English too?
Yes. We’re happy to run the whole online gin tasting in English.
How long does an online gin tasting take?
The virtual tasting takes about 2 hours.
Are there alcohol-free tasting packages for participants who don’t drink alcohol?
