Team building - safe team events despite the pandemic

Out of the home office and back into the office? At least the legislator has decided to end the obligation to work from home on March 19, 2022 and thus proclaimed the return to the offices of the Republic. The changeover is being made by companies, but gradually and responsibly; the option of working from home remains in place in many cases and, despite the abolition of the 3G regulation, many companies continue to offer their employees testing opportunities and develop individual infection protection concepts.

In line with these developments, demand for face-to-face team events is rising rapidly. While in the first quarter of 2022, online events (over 95%) still enabled teams to experience things together, the volume of inquiries is shifting back towards face-to-face events and analog team events. In addition to company outings and summer parties, supporting programs to accompany conferences are currently very popular. What is special here - for us too - is that these events often represent the first post-corona reunion; sometimes with new colleagues who have only known each other from Zoom and Teams calls to date. Of course, decentralized - often international - teams that continue to appreciate the convenience of our online events are excluded from this development. We then cook, drum or quiz together with Americans, Swedes and employees from the German locations in one call. "The last two years have shown impressively that this works well," summarizes Amit Lal, founder of the Essen-based event agency.

Team building events: here we go again - but safely

The need to do justice to the shared experiences of our customers on the one hand and our duty of care as an event organizer on the other is a challenge. To this end, we jointly develop hygiene protection concepts that go beyond the legal requirements of the Corona Protection Ordinances (CoronaSchVO) of the federal states. In addition to preventive infection protection, the subjective safety needs of the participants are at the forefront. For example, we also initiate access controls or a mobile test station on site, because the safety of everyone involved is our top priority.
