teamio - one event one tree

teamio plants first tree

Sustainable team events: 1st tree planted by teamio

On Thursday, October 27, 2016, we planted the first tree as part of our one event - one tree campaign. Together with forestry graduate Stefan Götze and Wilko Hennemann from the Biological Station UMWELTZENTRUM Hagen e.V., we planted a red boskoop at Haus Busch in Hagen.

teamio plants one tree for every event held. The aim is to raise awareness of sustainability among participants. "In future, however, we will be working together with the globally active environmental protection initiative PrimaKlima e.V.," smiles Managing Director Amit Lal, "otherwise we wouldn't even get to our day-to-day operations." This consists of planning, organizing and implementing sustainable team events as part of company outings, summer parties and Christmas celebrations. Teamio Event GmbH, based in Essen, offers experience-oriented events such as archery, raft building and table football tournaments.

sustainable³: socially, ecologically and economically - teamio works sustainably: one tree per event

The topic of sustainability runs through all areas and processes at teamio, not just the team events themselves. For example, there is green electricity, event boxes made from recycled plastics, green events where CO2 emissions are offset by compensation projects, and charity events such as the construction of table football tables, where the finished tables are then used directly in youth centers or similar. Cooperation with sustainability-oriented partners, such as the GLS Bank from Bochum, rounds off this focus.

Incidentally, the natural apple juice from the apple trees planted in previous years tastes outstanding; we have already been able to take a sample home to Essen for the team...
