fairpflichtet: teamio joins the Code of Sustainability

teamio joins the fairpflichtet initiative

Teamio Event GmbH has signed up to the sustainability code of the German-speaking event industry. The fairpflichtet initiative is a project launched by the German Convention Bureau (GCB) and the European Association of Event Centers (EVVC) with the aim of sensitizing the event industry to the issue of sustainability. However, sustainability does not only mean the ecological component, but also social and economic sustainability. A total of 10 guiding principles are formulated in the code, including, for example, the fields of public welfare, respect and social competence. teamio is pleased to be able to act as an ambassador for fairpflichtet as a supporter of the initiative: "This is an opportunity to gain further supporters and to further develop the sustainable movement in the event industry together," predicts Amit Lal. Internally, teamio is already focusing on electricity from renewable energy sources, a paperless office and synergy effects with partners, which are particularly easy to implement in the area of logistics. The voluntary commitment will probably change a lot more in the future - including in the area of events themselves. For example, team events and team-building sessions will soon be held exclusively with reusable materials in order to further reduce the amount of waste.

In future, we will publish the specific implementation of our sustainable corporate governance in a regular progress report.

Further information on the Sustainability Code can be found on its website www.fairpflichtet.de. The Federal Environment Agency also provides detailed guidelines for the sustainable organization of events on its website for download.
