Soapbox derby:
Racing fun for creative teams
Bring a real Formula 1 atmosphere into the company. The lively team event with self-built soapboxes is a party for the entire workforce.
Tinkering, driving, cheering: together in pole position
Three, two, one... Go! And the first crates are already racing down the ramp. Not a single meter is wasted. Meanwhile, the pit crews are eagerly waiting to make the necessary just-in-time improvements. Every second counts and the entire racing team gives its all - after all, it's all about winning the Grand Prix: welcome to your very own soapbox derby!
But before the fast-paced part of the team event begins, the soapboxes first have to be built. A glance into the pit lane shows: All the tools that make the hearts of craftsmen, artists and racers beat faster can be found on three by three covered meters - from creative materials and cordless screwdrivers to protectors and racing overalls.
The colorful bodywork design and entertaining racing car presentations offer plenty of scope for creativity. Good teamwork is important here. After the design part, it's time for free practice before the Grand Prix begins. Secure pole position with your colleagues at this action-packed team event!

Course of the event: Soapbox Derby
First, the assembled field of drivers is divided into several racing teams. Then the development phase begins. Similar to Formula 1, two titles are up for grabs here: the drivers' and constructors' championships. Before a race can start, however, the racing cars must first be built.
Both structural and creative tasks await the teams. Don't worry: an understanding of brake balance, differential gears or aerodynamic body design is not necessary for our purposes - but it certainly doesn't hurt when it comes to assembling the soapbox from the kits. When it comes to the creative part, there are no limits to your imagination. Whether it's Ferrari red or "Fast and the Furious" tuner style - a racing car that looks fast usually is.
As part of the racing car presentation, each team has the chance to showcase the ingenuity of its own concept. What does the symbol on the racing flag mean? And are the two red painted paper cups on the back really brake lights? With the help of our applause meter, we find out which team gets to start the race with valuable bonus seconds.
Now it's time to hit the track! After a short test drive, the competition begins with an exciting qualifying session followed by a relay race. Everyone is called upon here: if the soapbox goes off the track, the service team must be on the spot immediately. At the end of the races, we announce which racing team's dream of winning the Soapbox Grand Prix has come true - including a champagne shower, of course.

Are you ready for some fast-paced team building?

How does a soapbox event work?
After the welcome and briefing, the groups start to build their own soapboxes and give them a creative makeover. After introducing each other's racing cars, the racing phase begins with various heats and a team relay. In the end - as is so often the case - it's all about seconds.
How long does a soapbox derby last?
The duration of the fast-paced team event depends on the number of participants, your time budget and the local conditions - we usually plan for 3.5 hours.
Do you have a ramp?
Sure, no soapbox race without a ramp (or slope) - after all, the racing cars don't have their own drive.
Where do the kits come from?
We obtain the high-quality soapbox kits for our events exclusively from a German joinery.
Can we take our self-built soapboxes with us after the event?
Yes, you can add the self-built soapboxes to your company fleet after the team event.
Where can we experience the soapbox derby?
We inspire teams throughout Germany with our mobile soapbox derby. We need appropriate space for staging the paddock and the race track. We would be happy to check the local feasibility for you.
Will the winning team receive a prize?
The winning team will receive a magnum bottle of champagne - just like in Formula 1. We'll see if you also have a champagne shower ...
Can you also organize the soapbox race as a team event in English?
Yes, we would be happy to organize the team building event for you in English.
