Online team events for the Ministry of the Interior
The state of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) – or, strictly speaking, its Ministry of the Interior – has extended its partnership with the team-building specialists from Essen once again. Following a tender, Teamio Event GmbH has won the contract for the third time in a row to run team-building events for all of the ministry’s employees.
“For the first time, online team events will take place alongside traditional in-person events,” explains Johannes Dietrich, managing director of the event agency. “For almost a year now, we’ve been delighting our discerning corporate clients remotely with engaging events.” The whole team is delighted that online team events are now being run for the state of NRW too.
A successful partnership with the state of NRW since 2017
Teamio first won the state’s contract to run specific team-building programmes back in 2017; the second followed in 2019. “This latest extension of our partnership, until 2023, is a great compliment and a sign of appreciation for what we offer and what we do,” says a delighted Claudia Makiela, event manager.
The fact that online team events are now being run alongside traditional team-building activities is also a first for the state of NRW. With more than 240 virtual events delivered successfully, Teamio Event GmbH is a highly experienced partner for the state’s Ministry of the Interior. Besides purely digital activities such as the Quiz Show or Online Live Escape Game, there are also hybrid events where participants receive ‘experience packages’. Everyone then drums, paints or cooks together from home. Here, too, the focus is on communication and cooperation.
Online team events and in-person team building
In future, organisational units within the ministry will be able to choose between an online team event and a traditional in-person team-building event.
Depending on how the pandemic develops, the balance between remote and in-person events will shift back towards in-person events. “With specific hygiene protocols and infection rates at an appropriate level, we can do this responsibly,” predicts Amit Lal, the managing director responsible for the tender process. “At the moment we’re only planning remote events, but our clients still want real experiences.”
One thing is clear: despite the coronavirus pandemic, team building and spending time together as colleagues are possible – virtually or in person – and with teamio, you get to choose.
